Daywear is gaining more and more space in Zac Posen’s womenswear. For this collection, he applied the sumptuous shapes of his evening dresses to day looks and even introduced biker jackets and trousers. The sculptural ‘anatomical seaming’ of his red carpet gowns appeared in outfits, some in brocade, made up of little zipped jackets with rounded shoulders and puff sleeves worn with calf-length trousers with zips or suits with a rounded or flared pleated skirt, or a tiny wraparound mini. The dresses were also sculptural with stiff bodices and skirts that, as evening fell, grew longer and gained transparencies and precious embroidery.
