The body-conscious sheaths and tight-fitting shapes are a thing of the past. Experience has taught Victoria Beckham that a woman can soften and that being caressed by fluid lines and fabrics can be a pleasure. So, this collection was about clothes skimming not constraining the body, with deep necklines but well supported shoulders alternated with high-necked tops paired with pleated mid-calf length skirts and loose calf-length trousers – all worn with practical flat loafers or flatform sandals. The use of prints was unexpected; checks in captivating colours and stylised surfers cresting the waves with the addition of graphic and/or floral motifs, while the choice of monochrome was basic with the exception of the suede colour blocking in the finale.
