Every time Victoria Beckham releases a new collection, people immediately begin to compare it to the body-hugging jersey sheaths in her launch. A decade has passed since then, but if there is one thing Beckham has kept it is her clothes’ adaptability to the body, focusing mainly on tailoring and on that sporty touch that has invaded recent runways. A series of coats, some of which were doubled, came in military styles and colours with wide belts accentuating the waist and masculine suits with more military style jackets, at times topped off with a detachable leather neck-warmer. Trousers tapered to the calf with turn-ups while leggings had stirrups, and the addition of leather leg warmers in some looks. Dresses were long and asymmetrically pleated.
