Tsumori Chisato’s imagination is so limitless that anything is possible, even blending the Pacific Islands with the rockabilly ’50s. The models sported a curled fringe over fun retro sunglasses, accompanied at times by a big wide-brimmed hat in fraying straw. The asymmetric dresses were a whirl of colours and patterns, illustrated by the designer herself, representing exotic dancers alongside or alternated with checks of various sizes and/or straight or wavy stripes. Many looks featured flounces, ruches and raffia fringes, while others were in colour-block patchwork knit and yet others had starfish appliqués and colourful, varied patterns reminiscent of marine life.
