The runway was a boardwalk around a lagoon, complete with its own beach-bar and Caribbean sunset. After 30 years of visiting the private island of Mustique, in the West Indies, Tommy Hilfiger pays homage to it with this playful, colourful collection that took Bob Marley’s favourite pieces and reworked them. Crocheted knit was a key element: in the striped fisherman’s hats, ‘70s style one- and two-piece swimsuits, flared mini-skirts and sundresses, sweaters and cardigans, inset or patchwork teamed even with chiffon. There were also, of course, plenty of sporty pieces, such as bombers, mesh vests, t-shirts and tracksuits – all transformed into real boho pieces.
