Comfort and ease are Tomas Maier’s signature style, which is perhaps why his new collection focused on the concept of ‘knitwear’ (deluxe, obviously) that was practical without losing any of its appeal. Cashmere dresses had leather waist-cinching belts, maxi-stoles in monochrome or colourful bands also functioned as coats, even a red pair of track pants with zips and contrasting bands at the cuffs was teamed with a matching high-neck sweater – a deluxe track suit, in other words. Tailoring came in felted grey jersey, little dresses had plunging necklines, high waist and tone on tone heart prints, which also appeared on a blue velvet jumpsuit. The last three looks were in fluid, black viscose jersey.
