“My menswear is rooted in British tailoring”, said Stella McCartney of her collection, which as always was an eye-catching mix of tailoring, femininity, sport, streetwear and, in this case, a touch of Sixties and Seventies and the ’90s English music scene. Slim double-breasted suits The Beatles would obviously have loved alternated with more casual looks made up of oversize sweaters, shirts and loose trousers or track pants with side bands and stirrups worn under faux leather loafers with chain, as an alternative to white sneakers. Modern and bohemian, it’s a self-sufficient look that does not have to be on-trend with slogans, logos and loud prints.
