This new Stella McCartney collection contained all her usual tailoring, oversize and sportswear and added prints from 18th century painter George Stubbs to a knit, a fluid midi dress with extra-long sleeves and a pantsuit with a cassock with a big collar and belt. In general, though, the surfaces were monochrome or in menswear fabric mini checks, which McCartney used for classics such as blazers, trousers and coats, while mini-dresses and dungarees worn with matching blouses came in faux suede. Evening wear layered ethereal embroidered tulle dresses over sweaters, one example being a green turtleneck, or revealed the underwear under sheer plissé sheaths.
