Dedicated to Sonia Rykiel, who passed away on August 25, the new collection from Julie de Libran celebrated her bold free spirit with loose, comfortable shapes. Drawing inspiration from work uniforms, oversize cassocks with extra-long sleeves and little dresses were worn over loose trousers with contrasting horizontal stitching over the calves. The same proportions were used for the outerwear – zipped pea coats with big utilitarian pockets – and for the sailor-style knitwear, with gigantic bell-sleeved sweaters dangling with long laces. Blouses and dresses had a hippie allure with contrasting embroidered Greek frets, while the finale featured sheer lace and airy florals in increasingly oversized proportions.
