With the exception of a few long looks, most skirts and dresses at Red Valentino were mini, spanning a pleated number with tulle over-layer worn with sneakers to a little lace dress with a flouncy skirt and floral lace-up ankle boots. In the vein of Marie Antoinette, this modern-day Lolita was all lace, transparencies and delicate floral embroidery, antique yet unscrupulously modern with her sky high legs revealed in micro-shorts or concealed in faded flared jeans worn with a virginal cassock with a touch of hippie about it. All the looks feature hourglass silhouettes emphasised by tight-fitting lines, bow fasteners, gathers at the waist and cropped pieces that reveal the midriff in some cases.
