Philipp Plein’s show was an explosive tribute to Michael Jackson. It was packed with leather, denim, latex and gold leaf python. Rock chicks paraded on a mirrored runway. Motorcycle riders covered in studs, feathers, crystals, spangles, precious stones, shiny fringes, white gold and black skulls. Leather gloves covered the arms. Fetish, tight-fitting, mini length gilded dresses were cinched by multiple belts embellished with studs and large metal buckles. Vinyl trousers and mini-skirts were equally tight. A seductive nocturnal bodysuit was festooned with jewels in sparkling floral designs. Jackets were oversize and covered with sparkling sequins. A hooded camouflage parka featured patches and rolled up sleeves or straps tightening the cuffs. There was no shortage of metallic athleisure sweatshirts and printed T-shirts covered in branding, while suits and outfits had a rock attitude and draped evening dresses were all in leather.
