Philipp Plein paid homage to New York City with a collection showcased at the Public Library at Fifth Avenue and 42nd Street with a raft of illustrious guests. It was a mega show to celebrate his first time in the Big Apple, in which women’s looks alternated with men’s in an atmosphere of young gangs, between sporty and streetwear pieces and a palette of black and white, red and silver. There were lots of oversize down jackets, bombers, biker jackets and a few coloured furs, while the rest of the looks were made up of T-shirts bearing the brand logo and/or New York slogans worn with extra-long tight boots, hooded sweatshirts, leggings, skinny trousers or sequinned track pants. Glossy long evening dresses featured sheer insets, spangles and/or lettering such as ‘Neighbourhood King’.
