A former lightbulb factory was the setting for the Palm Angels show lit by lasers, where the brand’s tough guys once again covered their faces with spike-covered balaclavas and sunglasses. According to Francesco Ragazzi (the name speaks for itself), the collection is a combination (or clash) of punk and the American Midwest, as shown by a reproduction of Grant Wood’s painting ‘American Gothic’, with the farmworker holding a pitchfork, on work shirts, zipped sweatshirts and trousers teamed with tartan, studs, hooded sweatshirts and sleeveless down jackets. Tracksuits were also covered in checks – a motif that ran throughout the collection in various colours ranging from red to yellow to black and white, some in a patchwork version.
