Rushemy Botter and Lisi Herrebrugh are a young couple in work and in life. Until now they have been running a menswear label, Botter, so their debut at Nina Ricci is their first foray into womenswear. Perhaps because of their inexperience, their first show leaned heavily towards tailoring, featuring fluid oversize suits and coats at times paired with a big bow on one shoulder or a built-in wrap around the body. Bows and swaddling forms also influenced blouses and shirts, which had the same ethereal lightness as the organza tops and dresses made up of different-sized squares. Big rounded cloche hats added feminine rigour to this playful yet slightly extravagant collection.
