David Koma for Mugler showcased a collection with statement shoulders and sharp lines, illuminated by metallic sheen that gave the mood a futuristic appeal. The first exit, a leather jacket with big pointed shoulders and wide lapels in shiny electric blue worn with masculine trousers with side bands, already set the tone for a cool style that combined menswear and space servants’ uniforms but with the addition of sensual cuts and cheeky asymmetry. The mini-dresses, for example, had star-shaped cut-outs or contours, while the skirts opened out over an iridescent plissé layer, which also featured in some of the tops. The finale included a series of reinterpretations of the dinner jacket, proposed as a jumpsuit and a long dress with a high split.
