When it comes to everyday clothes, Marni keeps on giving style lessons. Faithful to herself, Consuelo Castiglioni proposed a contemporary woman wearing clothes difficult to shoehorn into a trend. The outfits were bathed in colour: pure white, ivory, cream, hazelnut, cyclamen, vermilion and rust, brown, military green, shades of blue. Black appeared for the evening wear with panels stitched together creating cuts, while, apart from the flowers, patterns resembled movements of colour. There was plenty of geometry and architecture in the rest of the collection: just look at the volume of the shirts, the vaguely military pockets added on to the clothes, the drawstrings and ropes, the rounded plissé and the enormous attention-grabbing haversacks. The latter were a standout feature in a chaste collection that bared just a shoulder here or a bit of leg there.
