Warmth, softness. Markus Lupfer celebrated twenty years in business with a collection focused on comfort. Volumes were loose, enveloping and comfortable. Oversize cashmere jumpers, wool coats and long cardigans came in neutral shades of cream, beige and midnight blue. It was a case of poetic monochrome meeting craftsmanship skill and high tailoring. The knitwear featured shaped sleeves with side openings fastened with big buttons. Faux fur hats and extra-large mittens covered the head and hands like playful cocoons. Skirts, bombers and outerwear wrapped faux leopard skin around the body. A long-whiskered feline was intarsia’d onto knits. Prints showcased a winter garden, scattering vegetable and floral motifs onto dresses with splits and pleated skirts. Fringed scarves, crystal embellishments and bold touches of lemon and vermilion completed the look.
