Pierre Paulin was a French interior designer renowned for his modern, innovative style and his rounded chairs with sinuous yet clean lines. Mark Kenly Domino Tan draws inspiration from him for his aristocratic, cosmopolitan woman who in her haughtiness, emphasised by an elongated, vertical silhouette, recalls a Roman dame. And ancient Rome is another of the sources of inspiration for this designer, who is also worn by the Danish royal family, as seen in the long tunic dresses and wide metallic corset-belts around the waistline. Extra-long sleeves, oversize volumes and sculptural shapes feature on jackets and tops, in clean contrast with other looks that appear softer and more fluid with little fringes decorating the hemlines.
