Veiled women paraded for Marco de Vincenzo. Their eyes were covered by a dark strip of fabric. They dressed in dégradé lurex, intarsia wool, plaid and tartan. A little golden fawn glinted on the lapels of jackets. These glamorous, restless children of the night were covered in shimmers, metallic surfaces, crystal-covered veils, lamé knits, glittery tops, suits and dresses. Sparkling fascinators were worn on the head. Gold heels on the feet. These were Hollywood Lolitas dressed in narrow-waisted fifties dresses, wrapped in voluminous fake fur with soft stoles over the shoulders. Art deco coats were worn to shelter from the cold. These glimmering femmes fatales also wore flared, plissé skirts with sparkling fringes that kicked out as they walked. Timid seducers wearing strapless mini-dresses in multi-coloured plissé lamina, or in V-necked draped dresses. A noir charm in slate-grey, purple and dark emerald.
