Trenches, bombers, parkas, pea coats, biker jackets, coats: outerwear was the focus in the Major Giovanni Allegri collection. Iconic pieces were renewed and contaminated by new research into materials, between craftsmanship tradition and technological innovation. The fabrics were sculptural: 3D jacquard, raised bouclé yarns, raw cut boiled wool, vitrified wool, velvet, woven organza and cotton and macro designs. The volumes were geometric and rigorous, giving the collection a strong architectural feel. Shoulders were defined and hemlines emphasised. Every element spoke the language of urban luxury: quality tailoring, attention to detail, exclusive accessories. Layering was also a key feature: linings were detachable, versatile, interchangeable, ready to be added to or removed from the outer layer. This new style came in nocturnal and natural tints of ivory and anthracite.
