‘Zarbitter – The Chemistry between different things’ was the title of the new Kilian Kerner collection, which featured a clash of opposites, between dynamic, hectic city living and the silence and solitude of a place such as the Grand Canyon. Colour, Kerner’s distinguishing feature, expressed this dichotomy and channelled the rhythm of the exits: geometric prints in bold tints and colour combinations such as blue and green or orange and blue alternated with basics and pastels, with an abundance of powder pink on sleeveless coats, cassocks, some long, worn with soft trousers, clean and rather boxy sheaths and tunics, which later became more indefinite with the use of chunky knits with frayed edges.
