The Junya Watanabe runway was filled with bad, tattooed boys (including facial tattoos) striding down the runway in a seemingly menacingly way. They wore leather jackets of various styles and lengths, bermuda shorts or cropped trousers and leggings-track pants with ribbed knit cuffs, and blazers with sleeves in contrasting colours and materials. The footwear ranged from studded or smooth slippers to patent loafers or lace-ups. Floral prints and fake tattoos appeared on short-sleeved shirts and t-shirts, which also featured the word ‘ptaki’ which means ‘bird’ in Polish. Russian prisoners get tattoos of flocks of birds to symbolise a longing for freedom.
