“These are clothes with a high probability of getting into the wardrobes of cool guys everywhere,” wrote journalist Sarah Mower about Junya Watanabe’s latest collection, which had a clear sportswear edge thanks to the numerous collaborations with brands such as The North Face, Levi’s, Carhartt, Vans and others. And how could a cool guy resist the technical outerwear with contrasting pockets and/or insets worn with baggy trousers and sneakers or the hooded sweatshirts peeping out from under the most classic of blazers (but with biker-style leather inlays) or else the college jackets with reworked proportions and materials in eye-catching colours? He very probably won’t be able to. The Japanese designer nailed it once again.
