The many it-girls and socialites in New York will love the latest collection from Jill Stuart, designed especially for a carefree party girl. Acknowledging the influence of Ghesquière for Vuitton in her designs, Stuart paraded A-line little dresses and mini-skirts with turtlenecks and slim overcoats with a Sixties feel, teamed with zipped boots with python toe and curved heels – all sprinkled with glossy effects, sequins and lurex. All the shine was accompanied by classic fabrics such as check and herringbone, while pinstripe suits and slim trousers also came in metallic versions. Velvet and jewel appliqués appeared on the all-black eveningwear, worn with sheer fishnet tights and ankle boots with curved heels (again).
