For this new winter collection Jasper Conran once again used skill and balance to exert the art of simplicity, proposing linear, clean pieces enlivened by geometric prints, stripes and colours ranging from basics to brights. The show opened with graphic combinations of black and white, to which various shades of green and yellow were added, before the multi-coloured finale with colour blocking and daring geometry. While some of the pieces were richly decorated, Conran chose simple garments – T-dresses and tunics, blouses with matching trousers or skirts, perhaps with a daring split, belted suits and coats – topped with broad monochrome fishermen’s hats and sporty tote bags.
