If even the show notes mention ‘glamour’, you have to give in to the idea that Jason Wu’s new collection is not for everyone. Too chic, too bon-ton, too high-brow, maybe even for all those it-girls in the Big Apple. The show opened with a real upper class lady wearing a green coat with a wide belt, rendered impalpable by fringed edges. These fringed hems featured in many of the 37 looks together with the use of ruches on floral cocktail dresses and raffia pieces, two outfits in coral pink and the long dresses in the finale. There was also lots of lace, also in a patchwork version that was so intricate it looked like a print.
