Isabel Marant is closely associated with travel. This time, she turned the runway into an urban safari in sandy desert shades with her customary nod to the Eighties. So, there were strong shoulders, cinched waists and slouchy leather boots, which sometimes rose well above the knee. Another signature trait, bohemian, was seen in quilted patterned jackets tucked into wraparound skirts or high-waist trousers cinched with maxi belts, loose over the thighs and tapered at the bottom. Chunky ribbed knit sweaters with statement shoulders also doubled up as mini-dresses, while other outfits towards the finale were more fluid, studded and/or sparkling and shot through with metallic threads.
