With this new Hermès collection, Nadège Vanhee-Cybulski walked an unusual, sophisticated line between sporty and summery without falling into the athleisure trap that so many other brands have done. After the opening canvas tunics trimmed with pale yellow leather came brown leather looks with visible stitching, zipped hooded coats with loose sleeves, neoprene swimsuits with contrasting colour details worn under airy skirts and loose shorts with big pockets. Leather as soft and fluid as fabric came in eye-catching colours for suede hobo bags and mini-shapes with bolted closures and wide straps. Flat sandals with straps coming up to the ankle were worn with everything, even the jumpsuits and cocktail dresses in the finale, which were simple yet sophisticated – perfect for summer nights.
