A collection bathed in light from Genny, which went for a white so dazzling it resembled pure mountain snow. Pure white turned to silver before night fell, when even black can shine when used alongside the timid transparency of organza and chiffon or patent fringing for added movement. Twenties Paris and Helmut Newton’s photographs inspired designer Sara Cavazza Facchini, who also looked to the age of top models and ’80s Milan for the sharp lines and shine. Loose mohair and fur coats were a soft, warm embrace for the coming winter season. Long jackets were worn over bare skin, with flared trousers: a jewelled belt cinched the waist. Sparkling crimson red and burgundy were two key colours. Lurex and rhinestones provided yet more shine.
