The pocket was the key element in Fendi’s summer collection. Functional and poetic, it contains, conceals and stores secrets and little everyday essentials. Karl Lagerfeld and Silvia Venturini Fendi highlighted its expressive power and refined character. Multi-purpose clothes featured XXL, loose, puffy pockets in leather with a raised brand logo in tone on tone colour. Pockets appeared on trenches, PVC raincoats, fur outerwear, knitwear, denim bombers, blazers, drop shouldered shirts, body-con mini-dresses and cargo trousers. Functional belts, like elegant bumbags, were teamed with pleated midi-length skirts or athleisure biker trousers in neoprene and scuba fabric. Lighter, airier dresses featured floral embroidery, prints and organza, expressing a soft yet gutsy femininity in earthy dark brown, forest green and bright orange.
