Ermanno Scervino brought his soldiers of love to the runway. These women have raided menswear to reinvent a totally new look for themselves. Suits were central to this collection: they were designed for day wear with slightly fitted jackets and soft trousers, while a tuxedo came into play for the evening. Pinstripe and Prince of Wales alongside jumbo corduroy helped with the switch of roles. Outerwear was slightly military with double-breasted coats and parkas with fur. The Eskimo touches gave way to Scervino’s much-loved lace for the evening. All of the dresses demonstrated a high level of craftsmanship skill, shaping chiffon and organza like clay. The Valenciennes lace, ruches and plumetis worked together produced super-light sculptures to be worn. The night came in shades of black and white, blue and pink, pearl grey and a bold red.
