“Let’s pretend we’re young, pretend we start from now, and let’s see what happens.” This is how Marco Colagrossi explained the new course Emanuel Ungaro is embarking on, starting from scratch with a collection of few pieces that will expand as the brand finds new partnerships. The clothes are in line with the brand’s style codes, featuring its signature ’80s details such as statement shoulders, a key trend for a while now, bright floral patterns and polka dots. These elements played out on low-necked or high-necked mini-dresses worn with matching neck scarves, with or without puff sleeves, outfits with a cropped top and long skirt or the inverse, and outerwear with flower-head collars. The only monochrome piece was a denim mini-dress with puff sleeves worn with a big floral scarf.
