Elie Saab’s ladies, accustomed to resplendent red carpet gowns, were presented in this new collection with an unexpected yet captivating element: daywear. Not taken individually, though, but mixed with evening garments and details. So there was a blue lace mini-dress worn with a striped bomber, an elegant floral shirt with a bow at the collar teamed with a tracksuit complete with side bands, and another lace dress this time in black with an empire line paired with a floral embroidery bomber. The contrasts continued, not only in the combinations of garments but also between details and materials: leather outfits had tiny floral cut-outs, a bomber came in black lace, a white sporty outfit was in broderie anglaise lace, until the finale featuring long dresses that were 100% Elie Saab.
