Delpozo brought a mild winter with early February sun to the London runway. Josep Font’s collection is sculptural yet light. He revealed a more ethereal side: free folds, sophisticated ruffles, fluttery drapes. Blazers melt in asymmetric fluid fabrics. Dresses are airy with sleeves like butterfly wings. Materials embrace softness, with feathers, eco-fur, cashmere and mohair. Knitwear features maxi houndstooth intarsia. The first spring flowers are celebrated. Embroidery is naturalistic, with buds in bold colours, bouquets of sequins, and raised dew drops. Red petals embellish organza and lamé resembles frost waiting for the dawn. Big leather flowers sit like sculptures on belts. Colours reflect the fragrance of spring, as though painted by Inès Longevial – vanilla, ivory, chalk blue, fleur-de-lis and pink in all its shades.
