Following from the latest menswear collection inspired by motorcycling, Filippo Scuffi for Daks showed a series of (very red) looks in full ’60s ‘Mod’ spirit, the key piece being the biker jacket, proposed here also as a dress in different styles and fabrics. There was a leather one with side fastening and mandarin collar teamed with low rise checked trousers with turn-ups, a houndstooth one worn with red flares, a wool one featuring an oversize floral print, and even a sleeveless gilet one. The recurring diamond quilt motif appeared on jackets and as an inset on shirt shoulders and sleeves, as a bodice and as an obi-belt – keeping in contact with the Far East where the brand is hugely successful. High peaked caps, leather gloves, opaque tights worn with boots or classic lace-ups completed the look, in a perfect balance of masculine and feminine.
