After many presentations, Cynthia Rowley returned to the runway and chose to stage her show at the London Terrace Towers pool, citing her love for surfing and wetsuits. But the mood of the collection had nothing to do with the aquatic setting: save for a few jumpers and sporty outfits, the 33 looks were a series of cocktail and evening dresses with a seventies feel in flashy colours and/or shiny surfaces. From mini to full length, the dresses featured ruches, flounces, draping, deep V necklines or high collars, airy transparent sleeves or ruffles at the shoulders, ribbons fluttering from gathered cuffs or wraparound fasteners with big bows. The brand’s footwear made its debut with sandals featuring floral printed heel and strap.
