Ghost Ranch is a place of spiritual retreat in New Mexico, famous for the paintings Georgia O’Keeffe produced there. Now, it is also an important palaeontological site containing dinosaur fossils from the Triassic Period. Stuart Vevers, the creative director of Coach 1941, visited the area to source his inspiration for this summer collection, which teams sandy deserts with playful touches such as Disney characters like Dumbo, Bambi and Pinocchio printed upside-down on oversize T-shirts and sweatshirts with and without a hood. The rest of the clothes and details followed the same theme. Long prairie skirts and dresses with flounces, ruched shirts and blouses, fringed jackets and gilets, patchwork denim pieces, mini and maxi leather outerwear and shoulder bags with fringes and hanging laces – all fit for a real Far West girl.
