With the first look, a floor-length trapeze dress in a bright yellow and azure floral print, Wes Gordon defined the mood of the new Carolina Herrera collection, characterised by bold colours and generous volumes. Tops, skirts and trousers also had the same airy quality, as did outerwear, with an oversize technical jacket in orange and pink layered over a yellow turtleneck. The evening wear was also confident and fluid, with billowy sleeves and airy skirts. The tailoring included blazers and coats that, in some cases, featured artistic draping to add movement or sashes built into classic black trousers. Intriguing cut-outs slashed horizontally into suits, including dinner jackets.
