A collection referencing Matisse. The summer wardrobe from Roberto Capucci is a homage to joie de vivre, dipping into the Italian brand’s tradition and tinging it with colour. Capucci drew inspiration from the expressionist painter’s palette, using shades of pink, salmon and red against cobalt blue and sea and sky tints with touches of yellow and green. Classic pieces were reworked to make creations that played with multi-coloured ribbons or georgette ruffles or with organza hand-embroidered as in tailoring. The evening dresses were revisited black sheaths in bold tints with bows embellishing the back. Not just cocktail dresses for the Capucci woman but also t-shirts, sweatshirts and shirts using white to adapt to any situation.
