Brunello Cucinelli approached his summer collection by focusing on the formal-informal dichotomy that is one of the cornerstones of contemporary menswear. A tailored jacket is no longer just for formal occasions, but can adapt to the day’s different moments and requirements, enabling combinations with relaxed trousers, soft at the hips, juxtaposed in some looks by sporty elements such as drawstrings and pockets with rolled hems. Likewise, classic trousers, perhaps pinstripe, can be paired with a polo shirt and/or quilted gilet or leather biker jacket. The alternative can be found in a striped shirt and a light knit made with new summer yarns. The footwear, mainly sneakers, was also informal.
