“It’s a young Gatsby, contemporary and a little sporty,” said Brunello Cucinelli about the man in his latest collection. The designer’s idea is that traditional tailoring makes men look and feel old, so the silhouette should be adjusted and relaxed to enhance it in all the right places. The jacket, for example, a piece that adds value to an entire look, has soft but well defined shoulders. It is single or double-breasted, fitted at the waist, in linen or cotton, looks as light as a cardigan and comes in sand, caramel and tobacco tints. Alternatives to a shirt are crew or V-neck tennis sweaters, while track pants are in soft cashmere and paired with a quilted leather gilet.
