Punk rock and ’70s sexual liberation were paraded on the runway at Barbara Bui, which was aiming for a tough and rebellious yet fresh and light mood. Mini-dresses and suits with long jacket, broad shoulders and skinny trousers came in colourful leather and latex was teamed with checks and red tartan, which also came fringed. Aside from the outerwear, comfortable and cosy shearling and a few fluid dresses, which still highlighted the body with asymmetry and splits, the rest of the looks accentuated the silhouette and uncovered the legs, which were tucked into high-heeled suede boots or strappy sandals. Belts and bags with colourful shoulder straps completed a mood that teamed British tradition and Studio 54 glam.
