The playful, joyful spirit of South American Pablo Coppola has injected new life into the Swiss leather brand, which in this latest collection came in the form of a series of slightly crazy, colourful looks that referenced everything from Bianca Jagger in the ’70s, Karlheinz Weinberger’s photos of ’60s rebellious gangs from Zurich, David Hockney and Daid? Moriyama’s graphic works to Swiss folklore and edelweiss embroidered on shirts, jumpers and jeans. And yet, despite the madcap mix & match, the end result was captivating – including the single and double-breasted suits in daring tints worn with sandals or sneakers, deluxe sporty outfits in leather with contrasting side bands, and kimonos and pieces in colourful suede. The accessories were desirable and varied.
