Origins, Switzerland. Outbound and return journeys. New beginnings. The Bally collection is about a journey, nostalgia and a desire for discovery. It was presented in a film directed by Baillie Walsh and entitled “Every ending is a new beginning”. Its most expressive side is youthful, fresh and tinged with the Seventies. It has a romantic, sporty style: an oversize white down jacket is covered in jumbo corduroy. Big hoods, tone on tone zips and striped elastic gave the clothes a more urban, eye-catching look. Layering and mixed materials created synergies of leather, suede, wool, cotton and sheepskin. The lines were fluid with loose, flared trousers and all-over prints featured the indefatigable traveller, the carrier pigeon. Fur coats were multi-coloured or in bright solids. The palette came in light ochre, pink, lilac, canary and crimson.
