There are different ways of looking like a goddess. Babylon went for the ethereal, almost untouchable, look for summer, with pretty white dresses that heightened femininity. The divine figure favours white and pale tints. Long pure white, impalpable dresses were linear and one-shoulder or off-the-shoulder, while some were ruffled or else short and simple, with a bow elegantly resting on the nape. The runway emphasised the draping even when a split sensually revealed a leg. Everything originated with the delicate materials, primarily silk and lace, and the stitching, which embellished the pieces. Even the daywear was divine. A shirt was decorated with ruches and worn over an above the knee pleated skirt or with a pair of black trousers and a patterned knit with lace sleeves.
