Working on the essential. This is what Tommaso Aquilano and Roberto Rimondi did, producing a night & day collection focused on a central core of ideas to be developed. The suits featured generous jackets over a top and soft, rather high-waist trousers with little slits at the ankle and in some cases piping down the leg for a sporty touch. The dresses were simple with asymmetric details such as different shoulder straps, one-shoulder and sheer organza insets. The colours chosen were mainly white, flesh pink and black. Red stood out and grey appeared mainly as silver sequins for the evening. The range of fabrics and materials was broader, including and silk and frisottino (a kind of granulated crepe), as well as the seasonal cashmere, felt, wool, broadcloth, fur and feathers.
