No wonder Antonio Berardi chose ‘Dancing in the Dark’ by Springsteen as the soundtrack for his latest show; for this designer, dancing in the dark always leads to the light sooner or later. This explains the mainly all-black outfits embellished with metallic elements such as buttons, buckles, rivets used as stitching and clips fastening the laces on some of the shoulder-revealing tops. A wide variety of materials, from leather to lace (of various types), velvet to chiffon, sometimes together, was used in undulating slip dresses, severe patent coats, masculine suits, and long dresses with added hanging laces, ruches and contrasting insets. A few touches of white and red, but black was dominant.
