The sense of freedom Joseph Altuzarra felt on his recent trip to Marrakech gave his latest collection the nomad touch and assertive sensuality the designer’s work always offers. The 41 looks in the show emanated the wanderlust vibe through eye-catching layers of chunky shearling and parkas over paisley dresses or skirts worn with buckled thigh-high boots. Paisley motifs also featured on blouses, whose collars peeped out from structured blazers and jumpers with asymmetric shoulders and buckle fasteners styled with loose high-waist leather trousers or plissé lamé skirts. Knit and lamé were paired for some dresses, while others were one-shoulder and/or packed with draping, ruches and knots at the side. Playful tailoring in the suits and coats duetted with knitwear.
