Tsumori Chisato deserves to be called an ‘artist’ as well as a designer, given that her imaginative illustrations and dream-like visions always end up decorating the surfaces of her clothes. For this new collection, immersed in the studio of a surrealist painter, goat hair tinged with brushstrokes of colour was applied liberally to oversize knits, pleated skirts, scarves and gloves with fur cuffs. Designs reproducing colour palettes and paint tubes decorated dresses, jackets, skirts and suits in pale tones ranging from pink to yellow, while other looks recalled the clothing of a painter, including the hat. Tube-shaped bags were carried by hand.
